REQUIREMENT OF VISA

Generally, a visa is required to travel to South Korea except when the person belongs to such countries that have been allowed visa-free travel by the South Korean government, examples of which are the EU countries, Canada, Australia, and the United States. • Business Visa (C-3-4) that is intended for people who want to attend short-term business events including meetings, conferences, or contract negotiations. They are granted a 90-day authorization to enter South Korea with this visa. Valid ID proof, Passport, documents specifying the applicant’s business status and business registration certificate of the inviting company are some of the required documents for this visa.
• Work Visa (E-Series) that is provided to individuals who intend to work in the South Korean territory. Depending on the type of work, this series has multiple classifications. Passport, ID proof, Letter of appointment from the employer, contract of employment etc. are documents required to avail this type of passport. The authorities may also carry out a criminal record check if required.
• Student Visa (D-2) is for those who want to attend a university or other educational facility in South Korea may apply for the Student Visa. Undergraduate, graduate, and language studies are all covered by this visa. In addition to a passport, the following documents are needed to issue this visa namely- academic transcripts and certifications, proof of sufficient finances to cover living expenses and tuition, and a certificate of admission from the educational institution.
• Working Holiday Visa (H-1) in which young visitors (often between the ages of 18 and 30) from specific nations are permitted to work and travel in South Korea for a maximum of one year. This visa is a component of a bilateral deal that South Korea has with other nations. Basic documentation proofs such as Passport, ID proof etc are required.
• Family Visas (F-Series) that are intended for those individuals who are travelling to South Korea for the purpose of Family visit to those who are Korean nationals for a period of 90 days or less. Passport, ID proof, proof of relationship to the host etc. are essential to be verified.
